Shivani Jaiswal , Uttar Pradesh -Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, where he launched and announced several major projects across the state.
On the first day in Varanasi, he spoke at a Mahila Sammelan and started projects worth ₹6,350 crore. These included a new 500-bed hospital and improvement work on the ghats of the Ganga River. He also flagged off two Amrit Bharat Express trains connecting Banaras to Pune and Ayodhya to Mumbai, which will help people travel more easily at lower cost. In addition, dairy farmers received over ₹105 crore as bonus payments.
On the second day, the Prime Minister visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple early in the morning for prayers. He then went to Hardoi, where he inaugurated the Ganga Expressway. This expressway is 594 km long and built at a cost of ₹36,230 crore. It will reduce travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj from more than 10 hours to about 6 hours. A 3.5 km airstrip has also been built in Shahjahanpur for emergency use.
Overall, projects worth more than ₹43,000 crore were launched during the visit, showing a strong focus on development in the state.
