Desk Correspondent , Kolkata - West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee turned the streets of Kolkata into a political battlefield on Friday, leading a massive "State-wide Protest Day" following the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) raid on her poll strategist’s office. In an explosive address to a sea of Trinamool Congress (TMC) supporters, Banerjee escalated her personal war of words with the Union Home Ministry. She sensationally claimed to be in possession of "pen drives" containing incriminating evidence against Union Home Minister Amit Shah, threatening to release details that would "expose the real faces" behind the multi-crore coal and cattle smuggling scams.

The Chief Minister’s "war cry" comes in the wake of allegations that ED officials, during their search at the I-PAC office, focused specifically on "Green Files" containing the party's secret internal surveys, candidate shortlists, and micro-level campaign data. Banerjee labeled the act as "political espionage," alleging that the BJP is using central agencies as a "delivery service" to steal TMC’s winning blueprints because they cannot win the upcoming assembly elections fairly. "You took our files, but I have your secrets," she warned, asserting that her party would not be intimidated by "bulldozer politics" or "agency dacoity."
The rally, which brought central Kolkata to a standstill, followed the high-profile detention of TMC MPs, including Mahua Moitra, in New Delhi earlier today. Banerjee used the platform to position the TMC as the last line of defense against "autocratic central overreach," framing the ED-CBI actions as a direct attack on Bengal’s pride. As the "pen drive" claim sends shockwaves through the political circuit, the BJP has dismissed it as "blatant blackmail" and a "distraction tactic" to cover up the corruption uncovered during the raids. With the Calcutta High Court currently hearing a plea regarding the legality of the ED’s seizure, the political standoff in Bengal has reached a point of no return.
