West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has publicly apologized to football legend Lionel Messi after a chaotic event in Kolkata. On Saturday, fans at the Salt Lake Stadium became angry because of bad management and could not see the player properly. Ms. Banerjee said she was deeply shocked by the poor arrangements and felt sad for the disappointed crowd. She sincerely said sorry to Messi and all the sports lovers for the trouble caused during his brief visit to the city.

To investigate this mess, the Chief Minister has quickly formed a special committee with three people. A retired judge named Ashim Kumar Ray will lead this team to find out exactly what went wrong at the stadium. The other two members are senior government officers who will help fix responsibility for the failures. Ms. Banerjee stated that this group will suggest strict measures to make sure such bad management does not happen in the future.
