Desk Correspondent , Bhararisain - The Char Dham Yatra has officially began since April 19 with thousands of pilgrims arriving at Kedarnath. Although the town of Kedarnath remain covered in thick snow and temperature nearly freezing the pilgrimage season shines with the devotees faith. However in this season the authorities has set few guidelines to maintain order in the temple premises. Some of which are strict restrictions over the electronics, such as phones and drones; and photography and videography.
The restriction comes after the growing trend of reels and unauthorised drone usage, for social media presence, which officials believe disrupt the religious environment and pose security risks. Rudraprayag Superintendent of Police (SP) Niharika Tomar confirmed that action has already been taken action against unauthorised drones and in her statement emphasised the strictness of the order in a statement to ANI. “In accordance with the guidelines issued this time, making any kind of reels or videography in the temple courtyard is prohibited. The use of mobile phones within our perimeter is also prohibited so that its dignity and sanctity are maintained,” said the SP. She further adds “Along with this, flying drones without permission is also prohibited here. We have taken action against two drones that were being flown unauthorised. This will continue in the future as well. Therefore, I would request and appeal to everyone not to engage in such unauthorized activities for the sake of the security and sanctity of the Dham.”
Safety remains the remains a primary concern for the administration as heavy snow continues to blanket the region even into late April. Direct Magistrate Vishal Mishra has urged pilgrims to stick to designated safe routes and carry heavy woolens to combat the sub-zero conditions. Devotees are encouraged to prioritize the spiritual experience over digital documentation to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage. These measures are essential for maintaining the sacred atmosphere of the temple.
