News Desk : Marizanne Kapp produced a match-winning unbeaten knock of 81 as South Africa defeated India by six wickets in Match 18 of the Women's T20 World Cup at Old Trafford.

Defending a target of 159, India made a dream start with the ball and reduced South Africa to 25/2 at the end of the powerplay. Spinner Shree Charani starred early, claiming two wickets in a maiden over to put the opposition under pressure. However, Marizanne Kapp and Tazmin Brits turned the match around with a crucial 97-run partnership for the third wicket.

The duo steadied the innings and shifted momentum in South Africa's favour after the early setbacks. Brits eventually departed after a valuable contribution, while Nadine de Klerk also fell later. Kapp, however, remained unbeaten and guided her side home with a commanding 81 off 45 balls.

Despite India's strong start, Kapp's brilliant innings and her partnership with Brits helped South Africa chase down the target comfortably, securing a six-wicket victory.
