Ananya Lohia , New Delhi - Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has defended her controversial "generation gutter" remark after facing criticism over her comments on young Hindu women and Gen Z protesters. She shared a video on Instagram, saying her remarks were about maintaining discipline and civic values.

In the video, Kangana said vulgar language and behaviour should not be normalised, adding that freedom must come with responsibility. She argued that discipline is essential for living in society and urged people to respect others' sentiments and maintain public decorum.

Responding to criticism, Kangana accused sections of the media and "feminazis" of misrepresenting her views. Her remarks came after Delhi Police sought the removal of social media posts containing abusive comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during student protests at Jantar Mantar.

The comments have sparked a fresh political and social debate, with supporters backing her call for discipline while critics accuse her of making insensitive and controversial remarks.
