The strikes came after Washington targeted Iranian radar and air-defense systems in response to the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz, pushing the region closer to a broader confrontation.

According to Iranian state media and military statements, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched missiles and drones at multiple U.S. facilities in the region, including bases in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
