Ananya Lohia , New Delhi - Last year on April 22, the Pakistani- based terror group Lashkar-e-taiba carried out an attack at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 innocent people. On the anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India’s unwavering stand against terrorism, stating that the nation will never bow to any form of terror. His message paid tribute to the victims and highlighted the country’s continued resolve to fight extremism.
Remembering those who lost their lives in the tragic incident at Pahalgam, the Prime Minister emphasized that terrorism remains one of the biggest threats to peace and humanity. He reiterated that India’s security forces and government are committed to eliminating terror networks and ensuring the safety of citizens. In his statement, Modi also praised the courage and sacrifice of security personnel who continue to safeguard the nation under challenging circumstances. He called for global unity in tackling terrorism, stressing that such acts have no place in a civilized world. The Pahalgam attack, which shook the region, remains a reminder of the need for constant vigilance and strong counter-terror measures. Leaders across the country joined in remembering the victims and expressing solidarity with their families. The PM said his thoughts are also with the families as they cope with the loss.
As the nation reflects on the anniversary, the Prime Minister’s message reinforces India’s firm stance—standing united against terror while honoring the memory of those who lost their lives. The government’s commitment to maintaining peace and security continues to remain resolute.
