Algerian boxing star Imane Khelif has strongly criticized her former manager for allegedly spreading false rumours about her retirement, calling it an act of betrayal against both her and her country.

She accused her ex-manager of deliberately planting misleading information in the media, which quickly spread and created confusion among her supporters.
“This was a betrayal of my trust and my country. I have sacrificed everything to represent Algeria with pride, and such falsehoods hurt not just me but also the people who believe in me,” Khelif stated.
