Hema Malini Urges Dialogue as NEET Protest Intensifies Near Parliament

Ananya Lohia , New Delhi - BJP MP Hema Malini on Monday appealed for dialogue instead of protests as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led agitation over alleged NEET exam irregularities intensified near Parliament during the opening day of the Monsoon Session.

Speaking to the media outside Parliament, Hema Malini said problems should be discussed peacefully and that protests would not lead to a solution. She added that the Modi government has consistently worked for the welfare of students and the education system, urging people not to mislead young students. However, she declined to comment on demands seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Her remarks came as thousands of protesters attempted to march towards Parliament demanding accountability over the alleged NEET irregularities. Meanwhile, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke ended his hunger strike at the request of activist Sonam Wangchuk, who remains admitted to Safdarjung Hospital. CJP representatives also met Union Health Minister JP Nadda, while several film personalities, including Prakash Raj and Shabana Azmi, continued to express support for the protest.

As the agitation gathers political and public attention, the NEET controversy continues to dominate discussions both inside and outside Parliament.
