Ananya Lohia , New Delhi - YouTuber Elvish Yadav has reacted to the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) 'Chalo Sansad' march, saying students should not have faced violence while demanding accountability over alleged examination irregularities.
In a post on X, Elvish said he was neither a BJP nor a Congress supporter but believed the treatment of students was wrong. He urged the authorities to listen to their concerns and take appropriate action, stating that those raising genuine issues deserved to be heard.
His remarks came after violent clashes erupted during the CJP's march to Parliament on Monday. Delhi Police alleged protesters violated prohibitory orders, attacked personnel and damaged public property, while the CJP accused police of using excessive force. More than 118 police personnel and several protesters were reported injured during the confrontation.
Elvish Yadav's statement adds to the growing public and celebrity reactions over the handling of the student-led protest and the demand for education reforms.
