Desk Correspondent , Delhi - The people of Delhi woke up to a very difficult morning as a thick blanket of fog and high pollution covered the entire city. Visibility on the roads dropped to nearly zero, making it almost impossible for drivers to move safely during the early hours. At the Delhi airport, the situation was even worse, with many flights being delayed or cancelled entirely due to the poor weather. Travelers were seen waiting for hours at the terminals, hoping for the skies to clear so they could reach their destinations. It was a frustrating start to the day for thousands of commuters across the national capital.

The air quality also reached dangerous levels, making it very hard for residents to breathe comfortably while outdoors. Doctors have advised children and the elderly to stay inside as the smog and cold winds can cause serious health problems. Many people wore masks to protect themselves from the stinging air while walking to work or school in the dim light. The combination of extreme cold and gray smoke has turned the city into a silent, chilly zone where everyone is struggling to stay warm. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely but say that relief may not come very soon.
Despite the difficult conditions, local workers and airport staff are doing their best to manage the massive crowds of stranded passengers.

Airlines are trying to provide updates, but many families are still stuck with no clear idea of when they can finally fly. On the streets, small bonfires have been lit by people trying to escape the biting chill of the winter morning. Everyone is looking forward to some sunlight to break through the thick clouds and bring some warmth back to the city. For now, the capital remains under a heavy veil of white fog and grey pollution.
