In Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area, the director of a local institute has been officially booked following molestation complaints filed by more than 15 female students.
According to police statements, the accused had used a red Volvo car bearing a fake United Nations number plate — “39 UN 1” — which was later seized by authorities. The police confirmed that the number plate was fabricated and not issued by the UN.
The statements of the affected students were recorded under Section 183 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) before a magistrate. Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner of police (South West) Amit Goel said the accused has been traced near Agra and assured that his arrest is imminent. Earlier, the accused had sought anticipatory bail but later withdrew the plea. The institute has since removed him from his post and is said to be cooperating with the investigation.
This case has sparked serious concern over student safety and accountability within educational institutions in Delhi.
