Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed state officials to take strict measures to reclaim land illegally occupied and return it to the rightful poor owners. Addressing administrative officers, Adityanath emphasized that land grabbers must be held accountable and warned that encroachments will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Chief Minister highlighted that such illegal occupation not only harms underprivileged citizens but also disrupts development and governance in the state. Officials have been instructed to identify encroached lands across districts and ensure that the properties are restored to those who legally own them, prioritizing the welfare of marginalized communities.
Authorities are also expected to take strict punitive action against individuals or groups involved in land grabbing. Adityanath stressed that reclaiming illegally occupied land is crucial for promoting equitable access to resources and reinforcing the rule of law.
The government’s initiative comes as part of broader efforts to protect citizens’ rights and ensure fair governance. By acting decisively against illegal encroachments, the administration aims to send a clear message that unlawful activities will face strict consequences.
Officials have been asked to complete the process of freeing encroached land efficiently and transparently, maintaining accountability at every stage. This move is being seen as a step toward safeguarding the interests of vulnerable citizens and reinforcing trust in the government’s commitment to justice and equitable development.
