The Central Government has removed the Chairman and Secretary of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) from their positions. The decision was taken as part of an administrative review of the board's functioning.
Officials said the action was aimed at improving transparency, accountability, and efficiency within CBSE. However, no detailed reason for the removal has been officially announced.
The move has drawn attention from students, parents, and teachers across the country. CBSE is responsible for conducting board examinations and managing academic activities for thousands of schools in India.
Government officials have assured that all examination and academic work will continue as scheduled. Temporary arrangements are expected to be made until new officials are appointed.
Education experts believe the leadership change could bring new ideas and improvements to the board's administration. Further details regarding the appointment of new officials are expected soon.
The Education Ministry has stated that the interests of students will remain the top priority and that there will be no disruption in academic activities during the transition period.
