A fresh political row erupted in Bihar after objectionable remarks were allegedly made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi from a Congress stage during a public meeting. The BJP has strongly condemned the incident, accusing the Congress of crossing all limits of political decency.

Senior BJP leaders in Bihar said the language used was not just an attack on the Prime Minister but also an insult to the people of India who elected him with a massive mandate. They demanded an immediate apology from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, holding him responsible for the conduct of his party members.

BJP spokespersons argued that the repeated use of derogatory words against the Prime Minister reflects Congress’s “frustration and lack of political culture.” They further warned that such rhetoric could backfire and alienate voters ahead of upcoming elections.

The Congress, however, has not issued a formal statement yet on the controversy. Party insiders claimed the remarks were made by a local leader and do not reflect the official stand of the party.

The political blame game comes at a time when both national parties are intensifying their campaigns in Bihar, making the atmosphere even more charged.
