In a candid interview with media actress Bhumi Pednekar spoke about her long journey with body image, online trolling, and self-acceptance.
Bhumi revealed that even after transforming her body and improving fitness, she continues to struggle with negative comments. She said, “I feel that doesn’t ever go right … we have grown up in an environment where we were subjected to different kinds of comments. But you have to learn to love yourself, and that’s a process.”
She also expressed how she copes with trolls. Having experienced scrutiny at various weights and appearances, Bhumi said, “There was a time when I was 96 kg, and there were opinions then. Now, I look different, and there are opinions now … I am in the public eye, and it’s okay. I listen to what people say, but in the end I do what’s right for me.”
