Bengaluru's Five Corporations Accelerate Pothole Repairs Ahead of October 31 Deadline

In response to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's directive to make Bengaluru's roads "motorable" by October 31, the city's five newly formed corporations have intensified efforts to address the widespread pothole issue. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and four other city corporations have been tasked with repairing numerous damaged stretches within the next month.

The Bengaluru Garment and Apparel Sector (GBAS), overseeing these corporations, has mobilized additional resources and manpower to expedite the repair work. Teams are working extended hours to fill potholes and resurface critical roads, especially in high-traffic areas. The initiative aims to enhance road safety and alleviate commuter challenges caused by deteriorating infrastructure.

Despite these efforts, several stretches remain pending, and the corporations face logistical challenges in sourcing materials and coordinating repairs across multiple zones. Authorities have assured residents of continuous monitoring and swift action to meet the impending deadline. The public is encouraged to report potholes promptly to facilitate timely interventions.

This concerted push underscores the government's commitment to improving urban infrastructure and ensuring safer commuting experiences for Bengaluru's residents.
