The actress revealed that her own grandfather lives with Alzheimer’s disease, making the film's central message – "dimaag bhool jaata hai par dil kabhi nahi bhoolta" (the mind forgets but the heart does not) – incredibly resonant for her.
Despite her grandfather struggling with memory and often not recalling her name, he still recognises her through endearing nicknames like "Heeraput" and "Makkhan". Padda recounted a particularly moving experience where her grandfather, upon seeing videos of Saiyaara, smiled and referred to it as "Heeraput" and "Makkhan di movie," demonstrating that enduring bond.
Saiyaara, which also stars Ahaan Panday, has already made history, collecting a staggering ₹563 crore at the box office. It stands as the highest-grossing love story in Indian cinema and the most successful film led by newcomers, a testament to its powerful narrative and Padda's heartfelt performance.
