He said the government’s stance remains clear that Naxalism is a threat to peace and development and should be countered with full force.
The remarks have triggered strong political reactions, with opposition parties rejecting the claims and defending their candidate. They accused the government of resorting to smear campaigns instead of addressing pressing issues.
