Desk Correspondent , Mumbai - Comedian Samay Raina has officially announced the return of India’s Got Latent with Season 2, but the show is already facing criticism online. A viral photo from the sets featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari has triggered mixed reactions among fans, many of whom believe the show may now focus more on celebrity promotions than comedy and raw talent.
The viral image shows Alia and Sharvari seated on the judging panel alongside Balraj Singh Ghai and Aashish Solanki, both familiar faces from Season 1 of India’s Got Latent. The picture also revealed the show’s updated logo, confirming that the new season is already underway. However, fans on social media were not entirely pleased with the celebrity presence. Several users expressed concern that the show’s original format could change drastically. One user wrote, “Latent will soon become a film promotion show”. Many viewers feared that Bollywood celebrities may replace the comedians and influencers who helped make the first season popular.

Interestingly, Alia and Sharvari’s reported appearance on the show is believed to be linked to the promotion of their upcoming spy thriller Alpha, part of the Yash Raj Films spy universe.
While the return of India’s Got Latent has generated massive curiosity online, the viral set photo has already divided fans. As Season 2 gears up for release, viewers are now waiting to see whether the show retains its original edgy comic appeal or shifts toward becoming a celebrity-driven entertainment platform.
