ACC Chief Slams Suryakumar Yadav, Indian Team for Refusing Handshakes with Pakistan

Mohsin Naqvi, head of the PCB and Asian Cricket Council (ACC), has sharply criticised India and its stand-in captain Suryakumar Yadav for refusing to shake hands with Pakistan both before and after their Asia Cup Group A match in Dubai. He called the act a violation of sportsmanship and accused India of dragging politics into cricket.

India had defeated Pakistan by seven wickets, chasing a target of 128 in just 15.5 overs.  However, when the time came to exchange pleasantries, the Indian team declined to engage—with Pakistan players waiting outside the dressing room for a handshake.

In response, Suryakumar Yadav said certain values are more important than sportsmanship, especially following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam where 26 tourists were killed.Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav was named Player of the Match for his spin-bowling display that dismantled Pakistan’s batting lineup.
