Actress Aahana Kumra recently revealed that after her elimination from the reality show Rise and Fall, she received severe online harassment, including death and rape threats, from fans of Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh. The controversy stemmed from a comment she made about Singh during the show. Although both later apologized to each other on stage, the backlash from Singh’s fans continued, leading to the threats.
In an interview , Aahana shared, “When I came out of the show, I received a lot of death threats and rape threats. I even sent screenshots to the makers showing the kind of threats I was receiving.” She expressed disbelief over the situation, stating, “I didn’t say anything wrong. I didn’t abuse anyone or say anything offensive on the show.” Reflecting on the severity of the threats, she questioned, “What kind of times are we living in? What century is this where saying just one thing invites so many threats?”
Despite the online abuse, Aahana clarified that she now respects Pawan Singh for apologizing, noting that many contestants had criticized her, but Singh was the only one who apologized. She emphasized that the matter between them is resolved.
