BJP MLA Nitesh Rane on Saturday took a dig at Shiv Sena UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray while commenting on the debate surrounding the India Pakistan cricket match. Rane accused Thackeray of avoiding a clear stance on the issue and mocked him with a controversial remark.

The controversy erupted after questions were raised about whether the high-voltage match should take place given the prevailing tensions. Political leaders from different parties have since used the debate to target rivals, turning the cricket match into a political flashpoint.

Shiv Sena UBT members hit back at Rane, accusing the BJP of focusing on personal jibes instead of addressing public concerns. This is not the first time the two leaders have locked horns, with past clashes over environmental policies and civic administration in Mumbai.
