Ananya Lohia , Delhi - A seven-year-old girl was allegedly lured, gang-raped, and murdered by two individuals at an under-construction building in Ghaziabad, prompting a major police investigation. A local stray dog aided in the discovery of the body in the building's basement, leading to the arrest of a 22-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy.
Police added that the family of the victim was from Bihar and had been in Ghaziabad for work over the past couple of years. The girl and her family lived nearly 300 metres from the under-construction building. The victim father informed that his daughter went missing around 8 pm on Friday and was found around 12:30 am on Saturday. The girl's mother added that few stray dogs in the area helped them in search of their daughter.
Deputy commissioner of police Dhawal Jaiswal informed that the crime was planned by the 16-year old boy, who also instigated the 22-year old. When the body was spotted, the girl had no clothes, her head and face were blood stained, and her arm and leg were bent and later the body was taken for autopsy.
Police have arrested the adult accused and detained the juvenile, while the investigation continues. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and renewed concerns over the safety of children, with authorities assuring strict action against those responsible.
