News Desk : A crucial breakthrough has emerged in the investigation into the murder of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal, with police focusing on a 640-minute period during which co-accused Chetan Chaudhary allegedly went completely offline on the day of the crime.
According to investigators, Chetan switched off his mobile internet on June 18 and allegedly left his phone at his shop while carrying his employee phone to avoid location tracking. Police claim the move was part of an effort to conceal his whereabouts during the alleged murder conspiracy. However, the prolonged digital silence itself raised suspicion. Investigators examined calls made to Chetan's phone during the period and found that employees at his shop were answering them instead.
The investigation has also uncovered extensive communication between accused Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary. Call records allegedly show the two spoke more than 2,000 times between January and June, spending nearly 238 hours on calls. Police say chats and conversations between the duo continued even after Ketan's death. Investigators suspect Siya, who was engaged to Ketan and scheduled to marry him in November, was unwilling to proceed with the marriage and allegedly conspired with Chetan to eliminate him.
With digital evidence, call records and witness statements under scrutiny, police believe the alleged conspiracy was carefully planned. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the events leading to Ketan Agarwal's death.
