Moscow - In a significant diplomatic development, India has called upon Russia to repatriate its nationals who were misled into serving in the Russian military. This plea comes in the wake of reports that several Indian citizens were deceived into joining the Russian army under false pretenses, only to find themselves on the frontlines of the Ukraine conflict.

Upon arrival, their passports were reportedly confiscated, and they were coerced into military service.
