Gorakhpur Link Expressway Inaugurated: Major Boost for Eastern Uttar Pradesh
Special Correspondent, Gorakhpur-
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on June 20 inaugurated the much anticipated Gorakhpur Link Expressway, a state infrastructure mega project aimed at transforming eastern Uttar Pradesh into a key node of industrial connectivity.
Spanning 91 kilometers, the expressway connects Gorakhpur to the Purvanchal Expressway, significantly reducing travel time between the industrial corridors of eastern and central UP. Constructed under the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), the project is expected to enhance inter district trade, attract manufacturing investments, and improve emergency and freight mobility.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, CM Yogi said,
“This expressway is not just a road,it is the beginning of an economic revolution in Purvanchal. We are committed to linking every district of UP with modern connectivity and prosperity.”
Local entrepreneurs, transporters, and residents have welcomed the move, with many calling it “a long awaited gateway” to economic rejuvenation in one of India’s most densely populated regions.
